Rally Obedience

Class Description:

Rally obedience became a titling sport in 2005 with AKC. It is a good place for new competitors to start. The novice level is on leash and all 3 levels, novice, advanced and excellent allow the handler to talk and encourage the dog throughout the course. The exercises consist of stationary as well as moving ones. All are used in training obedience exercises such as call fronts, halt with a sit, stand, down and jumps in the advanced and excellent classes. The titles that can be earned are RN, RA, RE and RAE.

Prerequisites:

For enrollment in Rally class, you and your dog must show proficiency in the material and behaviors covered in either basic obedience class or Canine Good Citizen class.
